How do I get my own advertising banner on Inlandbeemail.com?
In general, you don't. The Inland Beemail is a non-profit organization with a mandate to support beekeeping and beekeepers in the Inland Northwest. The banner system is a new feature that we are testing out. While banners are generally associated with advertising, currently the association uses the links to advocate the benefits of local honey with a link to local beekeepers with honey to sell. Additionally, banners featuring IEBA members with beekeeping services and equipment are being used on a trial basis.
If you are a member of the IEBA, we will consider hosting your honey or beekeeping-related banner. You will be responsible for creating a standard-sized web banner (468 x 60 px) using a color scheme that is complementary to the ieba website. The image can be save in .jpg or .png format. If you do not currently have image editing software, then I would recommend using a program like The GIMP, which is a feature-rich graphics software that can be used on both Linux or Windows. Go to http://gimp.org to learn more.
