These bees keep bothering me. How do I get rid of them?
Honeybees are different from wasps, yellowjackets, and hornets. For one, honeybees are completely vegetarian and have a diet consisting solely of pollen and nectar. Other vespids like wasps, yellowjackets, and hornets are omnivorous and eat meat as source of protein when their usual prey, small aphids and soft-bodied insects, die off in the summer heat. If it is a yellow and black insect bothering you at your picnic, it is not a honeybee!
